Model United Nations is an educational simulation of the UN’s assemblies and other governmental organizations such as legislative bodies. At TMUN , these are all “committees.”
Each year in Downtown Toronto at the Sheraton Hotel, the Toronto Model United Nations (TMUN) brings together over 600 participants from across Canada and beyond, representing more than 60 schools to simulate over a dozen dynamic committees addressing today’s most pressing global issues. The three-day conference takes place annually in the spring, with each committee hosted in its own dedicated conference room within the hotel, allowing delegates to experience a truly immersive and professional MUN environment.
TMUN’s committees extend beyond the traditional bodies of the United Nations, incorporating specialized and historical simulations such as the Canadian Parliament, crisis committees, and international organizations from around the world. Each committee explores unique and timely topics, encouraging delegates to think critically, collaborate, and craft innovative solutions.
