To sign up for TMUN, a student must submit the delegate registration form. All secondary school-aged students are eligible to attend TMUN, as well as middle school students.
How To Register
Step 1. View this year’s committees and their topics and find which ones you’re interested in. Once you know which committees you’d like to join, please view our country matrix to find which available countries you would like to represent.
Step 2. After you know which committees and countries you’re interested in, you can submit the delegate registration form to sign up for the conference. After signing up, delegates will receive the assignment for which committee they are in and which country they will represent.
Is Your School Attending TMUN?
If you are attending with your school, the school must first submit the school registration form before you submit the delegate registration form. If your school is not attending the conference, you may attend as an independent delegate by submitting the delegate registration form now.
-
To register as a school, an institution must submit the school registration form. There is no fee to register as a school for TMUN.
Educational institutions such as schools and other academies may wish to register for TMUN “as a school.” When an institution is registered as a school, all of its members (delegates and chaperones) attend the conference under the umbrella of one school delegation; they are attending together and on behalf of their institution. School registration is ideal for school bodies such as Model UN clubs as well as other private academies.
If your school is not registering for TMUN, you may attend the conference as an independent delegate or independent chaperone.
Once your institution registers as a school, its name will appear on the registration forms for your participants to select in order to sign up under the delegation.
Please note that school registration is simply the registration of a group for logistical purposes. Each participant must still individually sign up for the conference either by submitting the delegate registration form or the chaperone registration form after school registration is complete.
-
To register as a chaperone, please submit the chaperone registration form.
School delegations and independent delegates have the option of bringing along chaperones for student supervision at the conference. Teachers, parents, and coaches are all considered chaperones. They must each individually submit the chaperone registration form to attend the conference.
If you are chaperoning with a school, your school must first submit the school registration form to register as an institution before you sign up as a chaperone registration. If you are chaperoning independent delegates, you are an independent chaperone and may submit the chaperone registration form now.
There is no cost for a chaperone to attend the conference; chaperones only pay for their rooming costs. Chaperones are not necessary for independent delegates or school delegations to attend the conference.
-
Students may attend the conference either with their school delegation or as independent delegates.
When submitting the delegate registration form, you will be asked to select which school you attend. If your school has registered for the conference, you must select it because you must attend with your school.
If your school is not registering for the conference, you may attend as an independent delegate and must indicate that you are an independent delegate on the registration form.
-
Students have the option of registering either as overnight delegates or day delegates. Overnight delegates will be accommodated for a two-night stay at the Sheraton Centre Toronto hotel over the duration of the three-day conference. Day delegates will arrive at the hotel in the morning and part in the evening following the end of each day’s conference events.
-
All rooming is provided and managed directly through TMUN. Hotel guest rooms for delegates are automatically booked when you register for the conference by submitting the delegate registration form.
Overnight delegates are accommodated for a two-night stay at the conference’s hotel venue inclusive in the delegate registration fee. Delegates are roomed in quad-occupancy rooms with delegates from their own delegation.
Rooming Arrangement Selection
To submit a rooming arrangement request such as for roommates, additional room nights, and lower occupancy rooming, please submit the Rooming Selection Form. This form is for both independent delegates and school delegations.
School Delegation Chaperone Rooms
To book chaperone rooms for a school delegation, please submit the School Delegation Chaperone Room Booking Form. Please note, this form is only used to book chaperone rooms for the delegation. Your school’s chaperones must still submit the chaperone registration form to attend the conference.
-
By default, delegates will individually pay for their own registration fees on the delegate registration form when signing up for the conference, even if they are attending with their school delegation.
However, schools may choose to pay their entire group’s registration fees together in one lump sum in a process called collective billing, which may be selected on the school registration form. If collective billing is selected, your students will be able to register without submitting payment on the registration forms, and your school will be sent a master bill at a later date.
