Fear The Old Blood
Directors: Cruor Rao & Jess Zhang — Committee Type: Crisis Committee
“We are born of the blood. Made men by the blood. Undone by the blood… Fear the old blood.”
Night falls as the Blood Moon rises in the city of Yharnam, the home of blood ministration and victim to the horrifying Beast Plague. Men are reborn as monsters. The Healing Church, the central power of Yharnam, assembles its forces, the Hunters, to quell the rise of bloodthirsty beasts and creatures beyond mortal comprehension. Meanwhile, opposing factions seek to seize the chaos for their own means. Citizens, hunters, scholars, and royalty alike search not for peace, but for the root of this sin; the holy blood possessed by the Church.
Our eyes are yet to open…
-
An increasing number of Yharnam’s citizens have become infected with the Beast Plague and the descent of the Blood Moon draws nearer by the second. Perhaps there is a source to the plague, one hidden deep beneath layers of carnage. As the line between beast and man blurs, moral obligations become apparent between eliminating the beasts, researching them, finding a cure, or simply embracing the madness. There are Great Ones above who know more than we could ever understand – will their knowledge ultimately help, or hinder Yharnam?
-
While the Beast Plague creates further division, factions are on the verge of warring and destroying the fragile peace Yharnam had built. As different divisions of the Healing Church take this opportunity to focus on their own goals, fractures begin to form. The Church is losing what little faith the people of Yharnam are willing to spare. The truth of the sins of the Church is becoming more and more apparent, and delegates must ask: is the Healing Church doing more harm than good?
