Cabinet Crisis Committee

The Cabinet Crisis Committee simulates the executive body of entities such as governments, councils, and other organizations to develop and execute policy in a real-time crisis, following the crisis rules of procedure. Previous iterations of the Cabinet Committee have included the Dutch East India Company, the United States Cabinet of President Harry Truman, and the 12th Politburo of the Communist Party of China. The Cabinet Committee is a crisis committee that offers a unique experience designed for delegates with extensive experience and debate knowledge.

The Cabinet Crisis Committee this year will feature the Kennedy Cabinet’s response to the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Jade Han — Director
Entering her senior year at Collingwood School, Jade is honoured to serve as the Director of the Cabinet Crisis Committee at CAIMUN 2025. Since walking into the world of Model United Nation four years ago without knowing what to expect, Jade has become fascinated by the critical thinking, collaboration, and negotiation present within every committee room. Over the past few years, she has collected countless memories from conferences. Outside of MUN, Jade can be found borrowing history books from every library she crosses paths with, scaring her dog with her questionable ball-throwing skills, and attempting to convince her friends that cake for breakfast is a bad idea. Jade wishes delegates the best of luck in their preparation and looks forward to meeting everyone soon!

Jessica Wang — Chair
A junior at Semiahmoo Secondary School, Jessica Wang is honored to serve as the Chair of the Cabinet Crisis Committee for CAIMUN 2025. Having joined MUN as a timid 9th grader two years ago to learn more about international diplomacy and the way our world works, Jessica has grown to love the thrilling atmosphere and dynamic debate characteristic of conferences. Outside of MUN, Jessica loves to bake double chocolate chunk cookies, aggressively annotate any book she can get her hands on, and fall asleep to medical documentaries. Jessica hopes to provide delegates with the same thrilling, engaging, and enthralling MUN experience that first drew her into the world of MUN, and she is looking forward to meeting everyone and can’t wait to see where the debate goes during this CAIMUN weekend!

Osborn Song — Assistant Director
A sophomore at St. Georges School, Osborn is beyond elated to serve as the Assistant Director for the Cabinet Crisis Committee at CAIMUN 2025. After attending his first conference not too long ago, a shy Osborn quickly grew his appreciation for Model UN. From debating a variety of topics to engaging in debate with other delegates, MUN has played an important role in his high school experience. For Osborn, the activity has provided him with a passion for global affairs as well as the opportunity to meet many people along the way. Outside the committee room, Osborn can always be found sleep deprived, walking his dog, or grinding Duolingo. Osborn is excited to meet the delegates and guide a weekend of fruitful debate at CAIMUN 2025.
