Fictional Crisis Committee

The Fictional Crisis Committee (FCC) is a crisis committee that offers a unique experience designed for delegates with extensive experience and debate knowledge. Run with crisis rules of procedure, the Fictionsl Crisis Committee (FCC) is designed to provide a challenging simulation for even the most experienced delegates. With guest speakers, assassinations, and multimedia developments, delegates must collaborate and debate, making decisions that affect the course of the crisis in real-time.

Tanya Mai — Director
A senior at R.E. Mountain Secondary School, Tanya is ecstatic to serve as the Director of the Fictional Crisis Committee (FCC) for CAIMUN 2024. Ever since succumbing to the earnest entreaties of a friend to attend her first MUN conference in grade 9, her adoration for passionate debate, diplomatic relations, and chaotic committee rooms has continued to expand. Tanya especially appreciates the meaningful friendships that were cultivated through her MUN journey, and though a fan of all committees alike— she holds a special place in her heart for the innovation, unpredictability, and distinctive enjoyment that crisis committees have to offer. Outside of MUN, Tanya can be found dancing at her ballet studio, honing her photography skills, or grinding her never-ending IB course load. Tanya looks forward to a weekend of remarkable debate and hopes to create an unforgettable experience!


Jillian Callet — Chair
Jill is a senior at Bellarmine Preparatory School in and is delighted to be serving as the chair for the FCC. Jill started her journey in Model UN in her Sophomore year with an internal conference at her school. Her Model UN journey has allowed her to dive deep into her love of international affairs and global citizenship. From conference to conference you will see her carrying her thermos of tea studying different background guides. Since with her first accidental crisis committee Jill has been in love with specialized committees and all they have to offer. As the first “decorum, delegates” is said and the last motion to close debate is made she can’t wait to watch all of the delegates grow and succeed. She is elated to see all the delegates at CAIMUN this spring and wishes them the best of luck.


Amanda Chu Assistant Director
As a senior student at Richmond Secondary School, Amanda is ecstatic to serve as the Assistant Director of the Fictional Crisis Committee at CAIMUN 2024. Ever since speaking a grand total of two times at her first Model United Nations conference, Amanda has found an ardent passion in the exhilarating experience. Aside from expanding her political and geographical knowledge, Amanda has gained long-lasting friendships and unforgettable memories. Outside the intriguing world of MUN, Amanda is often found stressing about her IB predicteds, catching up on long awaited sleep, and scavenging for matcha ice cream. Amanda looks forward to meet everyone at the conference and enjoy thought-provoking discussions.
