70% of the moon has been destroyed. One octopus-like creature silently comes forward accepting responsibility, as he boldly proclaims that Earth, too, will suffer the same devastating fate in one year’s time. The world is paralyzed. Politicians, militaries, and top-secret mercenaries alike make futile attempts to kill him. He gives humanity a final chance to assassinate him, making two requests: to teach Class 3-E of Kunugigaoka Junior High and to let his students be the ones who bring forth his death.
In this committee, delegates take on the role of Class 3-E students who have named the creature “Koro-sensei” (unkillable teacher) and begin the year-long task of killing him. Koro-sensei proves to be fittingly named—he can visually clone himself, move at Mach 20, and has seemingly impenetrable skin—often leaving the students at a loss. Koro-sensei’s death comes with a $100 million bounty that offers the struggling students a brighter future. For that, Earth’s future will hang in balance as the class must try again, again, and again until they succeed

Earth is on a countdown before it explodes. Though, you’d think humankind would be valued at more than $100 million, right? Still, this assassination is of utmost importance. Class 3-E must work together, combining every single bit of knowledge they have to carefully plan Koro-sensei’s assassination. Even then, there will be more failed attempts than can be counted. Faulty traps, imperfect diversions, and sloppy ambushes become necessary failures to learn Koro-sensei’s flaws and blindspots. Delegates must also act fast; if not, despite being a "top-secret” mission, many other trained assassins and hitmen are eyeing the prize… Who can Class 3-E trust to help? Is there even anyone? Can this ragtag group of students really save the world?

Class 3-E is filled with unrealized dreams, ones society has told them were impossible. Class 3-E as-in-end-class is the bottom of the school’s metaphorical food chain, ending dead last in student rankings and constantly ridiculed by classes A, B, C, and D. Even if they succeed in killing Koro-sensei, what is left for them after his death? Can money buy them a future? Cultivating an assassin-target relationship becomes more than a mission, it becomes personal. Koro-sensei is the first adult to believe in Class 3-E—believing in a future where the students could be the actors, teachers, businesspeople, and scientists they had always dreamed of becoming. Koro-sensei is also, luckily, an impressive teacher and genius in every subject imaginable. Undoubtedly, this year-long mission is an opportunity for the class to redefine themselves. The question is, how will delegates make the most of it?
